BIO 220 Microbiology

Deals with the structural characteristics, physiology, and genetics of bacteria as well as principles of immunology and host-parasite relationships. Viruses and fungi are also considered. Laboratory exercises provide experience in the aseptic technique, staining, and evaluating the responses of microorganisms to various environmental changes. Two hours lecture and two hours lab/week. Prerequisites: BIO 161 and BIO 162.
