BIO 370 Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy

Introductory course in the structure of vertebrate animals. Laboratory work includes the comparative anatomical study of organ systems using representatives of the various protochordate and chordate classes. Emphasis on the physical evolution of the vertebrate classes using anatomical, embryological, and paleontological evidence. Two hours lecture and three hours lab/week. Prerequisites: BIO 161 and BIO 162. (Offered spring semester.)
