HCA 453 Human Resources Management for Health Care Professionals
Examines the development and functions of human resources management in the context of public, private, and not-for-profit health care settings including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and continuing care retirement communities among others. Evaluates the roles of management and the functional specialist in the development and implementation of personnel policy and administration. Emphasizes the impact of American culture and public policy upon the human resources and industrial relations functions. Prerequisite: HCA 400.
