PHY 122 Introductory Physics II - Lecture
Introductory course in electricity and magnetism, optics, atomic physics and nuclear physics. Topics introduced are behavior of electric charges, the electric field, D.C. circuits resistance, capacitance, inductance, electromagnetic induction, geometric and physical optics, wave and particle analysis of light, optical spectra, X-rays, atomic structure, and radioactivity. Strongly recommended students take concurrently PHY 125. Prerequisite: PHY 121, MAT 175 or MAT 211 taken concurrently.
