SCM 355 Managing Quality and Continuous Improvement

Covers the basic concepts of managing quality in either a manufacturing or a service environment. The role of quality to enhance productivity and maintain a competitive position is the central focus. Principles and methodology needed to design systems that assure quality from both customer and manufacturer perspectives discussed. Managerial and technical skills and tools provide acomprehensive approach to the implementation and maintenance of quality systems. Principles of continuous improvement and their impact on quality management explored.
